Will Thomas, author of Some Danger Involved, is a longtime Oklahoma resident. He was born and raised in Pennsylvania and currently resides in Broken Arrow with his wife, Julie, and their two daughters. A graduate of Northeastern State University in Tahlequah with a degree in English, he wrote poetry and stories for several years, some of which were printed in Ellery Queen’s Mystery Magazine and various Sherlock Holmes publications. His first novel, Some Danger Involved, took five years to complete, and was published in June, 2004, by Touchstone, a division of Simon & Schuster. For this book Will was awarded the 2005 Oklahoma Book Award for Fiction. The novel also received national nomina- tions, for the Barry and the Seamus mystery awards. His following novels, To Kingdom Come and The Limehouse Text, were nominated for the Okla- homa Book Award. The Hellfire Conspiracy was published in July 2007. He is currently working on the fifth book. Will has been involved in martial arts for over thirty years, and he has been a member of the Afghanistan Perceivers, the Tulsa-based Sherlock Holmes society, since he was a teen. He attributes his interest in myster- ies to the short stories and books of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Will’s books feature an enigmatic detective with a mysterious past, Cyrus Barker, and his young apprentice, Thomas Llewelyn, along with a cast of eccentrics who are part of their lives. Will is an expert in Victorian history and literature and his love of that era led to the writing of these books.
